“Partial certificate chain” and “no pg_hba.conf entry” error

Following question is from several users' e-mails:
When I click TestConnect it immediately pops up the message "Partial certificate chain".

If SSL options is disabled, the following error is returned: "FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host..."

We have the host IP address authorized already.

Please see the article: http://docs.aws.amazon.com/redshift/latest/mgmt/connecting-ssl-support.html. The issue is reproduced when require_ssl=true is specified in the parameter group on our cluster.

According to the article, the pem file should be downloaded from https://s3.amazonaws.com/redshift-downl ... a-cert.pem, and installed using mmc+Certificates plugin into the Trusted Root Certification Authorities.

Then the connection to the Redshift will work.
