selecting a date column not timestamp from postgresql - thru linkserver 2005 standard 64bit.
all other datatypes work.
Msg 8114, Level 16, State 8, Line 1
Error converting data type DBTYPE_DBTIMESTAMP to datetime.
Please let me know how to get thur this!

From e-mail to Mike:
I’ve performed the following test:
1. Created table in Postgres
CREATE TABLE mytest
id integer NOT NULL,
strcol character varying(50),
modified date NOT NULL default now()
2. Added a few test rows.
3. Executed query via linked server:
select * from pgnpww.postgres.[public].mytest
Here is result:
So basically it displayed date field as SQL Server type datetime.
Is this similar to what you see in your tests?
