SSIS packages started to crash after PGNP upgrade

Postby erdem.ozkan » Wed May 14, 2014 3:09 pm

Today I upgraded the PGNP OLE DB connector to the new version(1.4.0.3248) by using the PGNPUpdate tool.

After the upgrade, every time I execute the same package, different data flow tasks in the package started to fail randomly. All data flow tasks in the package have PostgreSQL database as source and MSSQL database as destination. For each time error in the log is same as below :

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E21.
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "PostgreSQL Native Provider" Hresult: 0x80004005 Description: "ERROR: syntax error at end of input
LINE 1: FETCH FORWARD 10000 FROM

SSIS Error Code DTS_E_OLEDBERROR. An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x80040E21.
An OLE DB record is available. Source: "PostgreSQL Native Provider" Hresult: 0x80004005 Description: "ERROR: syntax error at end of input
LINE 1: FETCH FORWARD 4100 FROM

Everything was back to normal after downgrading back to version [1.4.0.3206] .

Thank you for letting us know. Could you e-mail test package(s) to us? We are also going to re-test the build with our test packages.
