Uninstall of trial fails so I cannot install purchased version

We installed the trial version in our DEV environment while waiting for a license to be purchased. We have now purchases a full license but when I tried to uninstall the trial version it fails with the following error:
There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor.

I also can not install the full version since it says there is already a version installed.

Anyone have any advice?

Please close apps and stop all services that are using the PGNP provider. I’m using free Process Explorer from sysinternals.com to find if any application is still using the provider (launch it as Administrator, then Find DLL - pgnp.dll and/or pgnp64.dll). Then uninstall the trial build, and install the new build.

P.S. Usually SSAS or SQL Server services are holding the provider DLLs and prevent un-installation.
